Exciting things are happening around us!

It is amazing how things just fall right into place. We had our head Pastor here this past weekend for a fellowship meeting with the other churches in North Carolina and it was just a blessing. To be able to be around such amazing people and the conversations of our brothers and sisters in Christ, Praise God!

I had to laugh, I was talking to my cousin the other day who referred to me as the "religious lady" lol .. kinda made me laugh but I am completely okay with being known as that. Especially if it means that she may come to understand what salvation means and who our Father is.

On other news, Daniel had his second appointment on maintenance today. His counts were wonderful and we are getting everything in order to start moving over the next month. We also had news that I am expecting another child, which will postpone my first semester at seminary, but Praise God, I will still be able to go once the baby turns 1 years old. It allows me to have the first year to get him or her settled and then a bed time regimen set for my husband with all three kids. haha and give me a break! In a way anyways.

Icky, our little addition is settling in quite nicely. He is now beginning to spread his wings so to speak. Though the poor baby will be getting sniped this week. He goes in for neutering and will be getting 6 baby teeth extracted at the same time! Figure its better to do that now than wait until we got to AZ. We don't want any puppies coming around from our sweet Icky. We like him just as he is ... (he still pees like a female dog, no lifting the leg! LOL)

Back from our Confrence and WOW, what an amazing Trip!!!! Praise God!

As nervous as I was to go to conference and be around so many different people that I have never met, it never ceases to amaze me the family unity within my church. I am so excited to be a part of New Testament Church and on the right team! It was a week of praising our Father, hearing so many different Preachers stand and give their sermons, Fellowship, exploring, and having the fire of the Holy Ghost present!! I am still so thrilled even at home. We left last Saturday and returned today and just WOW! Bible studies in the car, singing, dancing and praise and fellowship. I was also able to meet so many of my husbands old military friends who are also ministers! I am so thrilled and excited to get to Graham to start Seminary that I can not even place it into words. However, I am just as thrilled with what comes afterwards and being out in the world to work for the Ministry.

We also have a new member of our family as of today as well! Today we picked up our youngest member of the family named Icky. Yes .. I can only imagine what you are thinking! haha But Icky is an 8 month old Toy Rat Terrior. As cute as he is, he is also a whiner .. wanting to be under hand and feet every step of the way, but a sweet and adorable little t hing weighing in at about 6-7 pounds. He is a type A which means he is the type that is very tall but wow is this boy skinnyyy! He came from a loving home that had other larger dogs .. but maybe he did not ghet as much to eat as he should have?? lol This little thing can eat!!!! HA Ha! As much as my husband says .. it's my dog, he even came over to assist me giving Icky a bath and helped me dry him up as much as possible as well so they have now formed a bond! Icky has followed my husband everywhere he could if he was around, if he is not, then I am the second choice! lol He knows and learned fast who the head of the house hold is! Not a single complaint though.. it will make things easier for years to come... training a dog can be tough if that aspect is missed! :-)

Anyways, I am a bit tired but will post pictures tomorrow .. we had the opportunity to visit the caves that Mark Twain wrote about in his books! An awsome experience to actually see what was written about and get some more detailed information on Mark Twain and his stories... as well as an understanding that it was also a Jesse James hide out! There was a place in which he even signed his name in the cave!!!

Finally, Daniels out of the hospital.

It has been an insane week. An insane 2 weeks and its only going to get more crazy. I have 2 days to get the house ready for Scott to be here and watch the kids, get ready for my conference that is in Mo for a week, my dryer went out, Daniel finally came home and is getting iv therapy at home every 8 hours and to top it all off my husband has the flu! Yikes! But God is good! While my dryer going out is hard, you know, my washer works, I have been hanging things up. Actually come Friday because we move soon, we are just having them picked up and its one less thing we will need to worry about in the end. Now who knows while I am gone just how well Scott will do with Daniel and all his medications but I have faith that God will watch over the kiddos and keep them in excellent care. If Daniel needs to continue the iv therapy, then the home nurse that has already met my ex, will come teach him how to continue it. It is not hard, but he doesnt have any medical training and is a bit nervous. It will give him a sense of what I have gone through on a weekly basis for a bit since Daniels diagnosis though. Daniel will not however get any chemo while I am gone which is a blessing as well. We are waiting for his blood counts to go up.

Other than that, just trying to be able to catch up on some rest that the family needs. With Daniel being in the hospital for the length of time he was, it kinda just wore everyone out.. as crazy as it seems.

May God continue to bless you and watch over you until next time!

Just a few pics...

Taylin and Daniel together.. a week before he was admitted to the hospital
Taylins Special olympic medal.. she did awsome! She continues to grow in leaps and bounds!
Daniel at the lazy 5 ranch feeding the animals. One of my favorite pics!
Daniel helped make a comercial for the Children's Miricale Network to assist in raising money for those afflicted by childhood cancer's. Daniel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia April 30th, 2008. It was a day that we redefined normal. With God's good graces, Daniel is in remission and is just finishing up his first year of intense chemo therapy. He will continue to have chemo therapy for the next two years though.

First Blog Night for the Vaux Family.

I decided to come on over and blog about what is going on with the family because it is a bit more simple to post family items here than it is on the Carepage we set up for Daniel. It is also a bit more easy to access for my family members that have a hard time with some of the other sites because of their complexity. Some of it may be a repeat of our carepages should you read that as well, so please be patient, I will learn to try to separate the two and put different pictures up for everyone to see!

Daniel is still in the hospital, unfortunately. Today was a very rough day for him too! He spiked a fever last night of 101.9 which means that he was in no way shape or form coming home today. Though even besides that Daniel was somber and quiet. He did have a platelet transfusion, a massive headache and was complaining of leg pains so on top of it, lortab was given to off set some of his chemo medication he did get yesterday as well. I am praying that he will be able to come home on Friday! There is so much to do and a very little time to do it over the next few months.

The end of April represents three things. My birthday, Daniel's year anniversary of his Leukemia, and my very first Conference in Mo for our Church. I am so excited! After that we are packing and getting ready.. for another big event...

Our time in Charlotte NC is coming to an end very soon. While our time here has been enjoyable and we have grown closer as a family unit and grown closer to our Father, it is time for me to grow even more and learn how to serve my God in what ever path has been chosen for me. I am excited and nervous all the same to be going to seminary and moving to Wa. for a few years. The other excitement also comes for what comes after seminary.. and that is to be able to see what the Lord has planned for our family.

Anyways, short and sweet tonight as I will be up early to get my husband off to work and myself to the hospital. This being Taylin's spring break for school, her best friends mom offered to take her over night and keep her til tomorrow evening so she could have some fun away from the hospital! We have a good support system here and I am so very grateful for my church family and friends that I have made since August. With God all things are possible! ... I was unsure how it would all work when I came, but I have brothers and sisters in Christ that are there come rain or sunshine. I love them all and couldn't be more appreciative of them.
